Plumber repairing pipework in a bright domestic utility room

Emergency plumber — 24/7

Burst pipes, water leaks, heating failures. Live engineers on dispatch around the clock — not an answering service.

What counts as a plumbing emergency?

When a pipe bursts at 2am or your stopcock fails mid-weekend, you need an engineer on the doorstep, not a voicemail. Our 24/7 emergency plumber service operates 365 days a year with live dispatchers and engineers on rotating standby across every region. We prioritise water-damage scenarios — burst pipes, ceiling leaks, no cold water and frozen mains — with a target response time of 60 minutes or less in most postcodes.

  • Burst or split pipe. An active burst loses hundreds of litres per hour. Turn off your main stopcock (usually under the kitchen sink) and call immediately.
  • Water through ceiling. A ceiling leak indicates an active pipe failure in the void above. Switch off electricity in affected rooms before calling.
  • No mains water. Loss of water supply can have several causes — internal pipe failure, frozen main, or a supply disruption. We diagnose and restore supply.
  • Sewage backing up. Sewage in the property is a health emergency. Multiple blocked outlets or sewage at floor level requires immediate drainage response.
  • No heating or hot water in winter. Boiler lockouts and pipe freeze are most common when temperatures drop. Our heating engineers carry the most common parts.
  • Gas-related plumbing. If you smell gas, call National Gas Emergency Services (0800 111 999) first, leave the property, then call us for the plumbing follow-up.
